Why – The Mooswald?

Since March 2025, the Hotel Bergland in Obsteig has had a new name: Hotel Das Mooswald. The origin of the new name lies in the history of the village, as there used to be a ‘Mooswald’ in the surrounding area – a damp, unspoilt woodland characterised by its tranquillity and unspoilt nature. These qualities are now reflected in the hotel.

‘Mooswald’ stands for naturalness, harmony and renewal – values that define the hotel and its hosts. 
 

The tranquillity of the ‘Mooswald’ is reflected in the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel, which offers guests a place of respite.
